The machine is designed with a monolithic steel base filled with composite material, designed to obtain the best result between structural deformations and vibration damping. The machine has the following axial configuration: the grinding head slides along the X and Z axes by by recirculating ball systems, the movement is done by ball screw system and motor. The workpiece is clamped between headstock and tailstock, the tailstock moves manually along the table via linear guides with recirculating rollers. This machine configuration allows its overall space to be significantly reduced compared to mobile table solutions. The machine is equipped with a fixed point diamond dressing station located on the back of the headstock.
