This transmitter simultaneously measures differential pressure, pressure, and temperature in order to compensate for changes in density caused by static pressure fluctuations and temperature fluctuations, and outputs the mass flow rate (volumetric flow rate under standard conditions).
Temperature and pressure compensation function enables measurement of gas mass flow rate with one transmitter
High accuracy and high rangeability
Temperature and pressure can be displayed
The Smart Multivariable Flow Transmitter is a differential pressure transmitter with built-in temperature and pressure compensation that measures the mass flow rate of gases.
It simultaneously measures differential pressure, pressure, and temperature in order to compensate for changes in density caused by static pressure fluctuations and temperature fluctuations, and outputs a 4–20 mA DC analog signal proportional to the mass flow rate (volumetric flow rate under standard conditions).
A standalone transmitter unit that measures gas mass flow rate
This single device integrates the functions of differential pressure transmitter, pressure transmitter, temperature converter, and computing unit. In this way the costs of equipment purchase, wiring, spare parts, and maintenance are reduced. Fewer devices also leads to better loop accuracy.
Temperature and pressure compensation can be achieved simply by replacing the existing transmitter and using other existing equipment as is (monitoring-management by mass flow rate instead of volumetric flow rate).
The existing piping, connection pipes and orifices can be used as is with no changes needed.
