Storage rack

Overview
Modular rack systems for configurable, safe and efficient storage of materials. Systems are designed to customer specifications and adapted for dimensions (L×W×H), number of levels, cantilevers, load capacity and mobility. Suitable for lean material supply, FIFO provisioning and long‑goods storage.

Different rack types

• Flow rack: gravity‑fed roller tracks for FIFO material provision; available in multi‑lane, brake‑plate or integrated workstation variants.
• Shelf rack: multi‑level shelving with adjustable shelf heights for general storage and staging.
• Cantilever rack: racks with cantilever arms for long goods such as pipes, profiles and panels; single‑ or double‑sided configurations.

Flow rack details
Flow racks use inclined roller tracks that move load carriers by gravity, enabling FIFO. Variants include steep FIFO lanes with brake plates, multi‑lane systems for different box sizes, empty‑container rocker functions, corner solutions and workstation‑integrated flow lanes. Construction can be round‑pipe or square‑profile for higher stability.

Shelf rack details
Shelf racks offer multiple horizontal levels with easy height adjustment. Frames can be tubular steel with wooden or panel decking, mesh covers or ESD‑compliant finishes. Mobile shelf trolleys and compact storage variants are possible.

Cantilever rack details
Cantilever racks store long goods on arms that can be foam‑coated or made from aluminium square profiles or tubular steel. Options include mobile cantilever trolleys and customised supports for special components.

Components of modular rack systems
Primary construction: round steel pipe modular system. For increased strength: square profiles (aluminium or steel) as reinforced base frames. Accessories include castors, roller tracks, brake plates, plates, drawbars, coupling systems, panels, wooden cladding and ESD versions.

Design and planning
3D planning software (BEEVisio) enables rapid configuration and access to component libraries. Cutting optimisation (BEELopt) supports material optimisation. Design options include mobility (castors), integration of roller rails, trolley adaptation and assembly services.

Planning tips and special options

• Round pipe vs square profile: round pipe for lightweight, cost‑efficient construction; square profiles for greater structural strength and heavy‑duty use; special connectors allow combinations.
• Castors for mobility: convert racks into mobile trolleys for responsive internal transport.
• Tugger trailer and transport versions: add textile compartments or protective panels (e.g. BEESave) for safe transport of sensitive or complex‑shaped goods.
