Description

Overview
BELTROTHERM thermal curing conveyor for production processes such as PCBs, membrane switches, scales and panels produced by phototechnique or screen printing. Designed for predrying and final curing of photosensitive inks and soldermasks (single- or double-sided) on flat or V-belt transport systems. Also suitable for curing conductive carbon, silver and copper inks, two-component systems and other thermally cured coatings.

Technology
Curing is achieved by combining long-wave IR radiation with circulating hot air. A conveyorised flat-belt (or V-belt) carries each substrate through a selectable temperature profile. Double-sided curing is possible. The IR plus circulating air combination reduces curing time significantly compared with batch ovens (typical reductions down to about 1/6).

Typical process times (examples)
  • Final curing of photoimageable soldermask: about 8–10 minutes
  • Tack drying of photoimageable soldermask: about 4–5 minutes
  • Curing of carbon, silver, copper and heatsink pastes: about 1–3 minutes


Control
PLC control with touch-screen panel monitors and manages all functions. Up to 10 programs can be saved and a print/export function supports process control and documentation.
