Description

Overview
The LINETRAXX® RCMS460-D is a residual current monitoring device designed to detect and evaluate fault, residual and operating currents in earthed power supplies. Each unit provides 12 measuring channels that accept a range of closed, split-core or flexible measuring current transformers. Multiple devices can be networked via BMS bus (RS-485) to monitor large installations.

Applications
  • Measurement and evaluation of residual, fault and operating currents across 0…2000 Hz or 42…2000 Hz depending on CT type
  • Monitoring currents that present a fire hazard in flammable atmospheres
  • EMC monitoring of TN-S systems to detect stray currents and unwanted N–PE bridges
  • Monitoring N conductors for harmonic-related overloads and checking PE/equipotential conductors for absence of current
  • Residual current monitoring for fixed electrical equipment to define test intervals (e.g., DGUV V3)
  • Personnel and fire protection by fast disconnection when configured accordingly; monitoring of digital inputs
