Description

Product overview
The ISOSCAN® EDS150 is an insulation fault locator for unearthed (IT) power supplies designed for main circuits. Used together with an ISOMETER® or PGH locating-current transmitter, locating current pulses are detected by six integrated measuring current transformers and evaluated by the EDS150. The unit allows all current-carrying conductors of an outgoing line to be routed through the six CTs. Alarm messages including indication on a display device are processed within a maximum of 8 s.

How it works
The locating current pulse generated by the ISOMETER® or PGH passes through the monitored conductors and is picked up by the EDS150's integrated measuring current transformers. The device evaluates these signals to determine the feeder where the insulation fault occurs.

Bus and expansion
  • Connection of up to 88 EDS150 devices via RS-485 (BMS) enabling monitoring of up to 528 circuits
  • BMS activity indicated by an alarm LED
  • Alarm reporting including display indication (e.g. MK2430) within max. 8 s
