Description

Product overview
02-662 NTron Oxygen sensor, SenzTx-101 (0-25% O2). Choice of zirconia (high-temperature) or electrochemical sensing elements. Zirconia offers fast response and long service life with minimal drift; electrochemical option enables measurement in background gases containing hydrocarbons. Alternative referenced sensor: 03-908 Inmatec oxygen sensor (SenzTx-101 0-25% O2).

Proven sensor technology
The SenzTx family provides reliable, accurate and flexible oxygen measurement. Users can select technologies and ranges to measure from trace levels (from 1 ppm) up to 100% O2 depending on application and transmitter configuration.

Zirconia sensor
The NTron zirconia oxygen sensor is a non-depleting zirconia solid electrolyte sensor. A small capillary controls oxygen diffusion into the sensing cell. When heated above 400°C, oxygen is reduced electrochemically, generating a current through the zirconia electrolyte; oxygen concentration is derived from this current. The zirconia sensor has effectively unlimited shelf life without loss of calibration, an expected service life of 3–5 years, is not position sensitive, has low cross-sensitivity and does not require drying.

Monitoring oxygen levels via oxygen sensors
The SenzTx sensors are designed to monitor oxygen in applications such as compressed air systems, gas-generation units and containment/glovebox environments. Accurate measurement helps ensure gas or compressed air quality meets target standards and enables process control.
  • Accuracy: Calibrate regularly to maintain measurement accuracy at the selected range and conditions.
  • Monitoring: Suitable for continuous monitoring and trend analysis of oxygen concentration over time.
  • Maintenance: Regular maintenance (cleaning, replacing worn parts, recalibration) is recommended to ensure reliable operation.
  • Integration: Can be integrated into monitoring or control systems for real-time data, alarms and trending.

Applications and features
Typical applications: oxygen and nitrogen generation, compressed air quality monitoring, glovebox/containment, additive manufacturing, inert gas blanketing, semiconductor and industrial gas analysis. Key features: zirconia or electrochemical options, wide measurement ranges (ppm to %), fast response, low drift, long service life and analogue/digital output options depending on transmitter configuration.
