Bourns Custom Magnetics Product Line is introducing the HVMA03F45A-ST8S gate driver transformer. The transformer is automotive grade and AEC-Q200 Compliant Bourns® Model HVMA03F45A-ST8S gate driver transformer is designed with 8 mm creepage distance for a 850 V working voltage that is ideal for new EV applications requiring high isolation voltage. Typical automotive applications include transistor gate drive power, powering battery management circuits, and isolated power across separate voltage systems in a hybrid vehicle. This transformer has a wide operating temperature range from -40 °C to +125 °C for Class F operation. The high creepage, SMT package has a unique small footprint for a large working voltage. This gate driver transformer is designed for a switching frequency of 50 kHz to 380 kHz and will provide an output power of up to 3 Watts. The transformer can be used with many gate driver controller ICs that have either fixed frequency or variable frequency.
