Description

The GEO 700A is a compact, high-performance water well and geothermal drilling rig designed around an advanced automated rod-handling system, delivering a new level of efficiency, safety and productivity in drilling operations. The GEO 700A is equipped with high-capacity hydraulic and rotary systems designed to support down-the-hole hammer (DTH) drilling and direct mud rotary drilling, while also offering the flexibility to perform reverse circulation (RC) drilling when required by specific geological conditions or project specifications. At the core of the machine is its fully integrated automatic rod handling system, consisting of an on-board rod rack and a side-mounted loader arm. This system automatically retrieves drill rods directly from the rack, which can store up to 200 metres of drilling string, and can also draw additional rods from an external side trestle for virtually unlimited rod capacity. By significantly reducing manual handling, the system improves on-site safety, reduces crew requirements and accelerates drilling cycles, resulting in higher overall productivity and lower mobilization costs. Its compact footprint and optimized layout make it particularly suitable for confined job sites and urban geothermal or water well drilling applications where space, safety and efficiency are critical.
