Description

Overview
Rooftop HVAC units are packaged air handling and conditioning systems designed for commercial buildings. They deliver ventilation, heating and cooling from rooftop installation to free indoor floor space and centralize climate control for single- or multi-zone applications.

Installation & Use
Installed on building roofs, these units are suitable for one- to eight-story commercial properties. Configurations include single-zone rooftop units, multi-zone rooftop systems and make-up-air units that treat only outside (fresh) air for supply to the building.

How They Work
Outdoor air is blended with return air, then filtered and conditioned (cooling, dehumidification or heating) before being supplied to occupied zones. Integrated ventilation and conditioning maintain indoor air quality and thermal comfort.

Energy & Heating Options
Heating sources include natural gas, electric resistance, hot water, steam and heat pumps. Efficiency features may include inverter compressors, beltless ECM fans and energy recovery wheels to reduce operating costs and improve maintainability.

Common applications
  • Education facilities
  • Data centers
  • Healthcare buildings
