Product description
The DT1623 Ix AC current transmitters provide a frequency (square wave) output between 400 and 2000 Hz proportional to the true root mean square (TRMS) of the input AC current. The frequency output enables replacing an analog input with a counter input on PLCs and signal processors, simplifying integration and reducing cost.

The devices are available in three versions covering six measuring ranges (selectable with the front-panel Hi‑Lo switch). Inputs are galvanically separated from the measured network via a broadband measuring transformer and meet CAT III requirements. The inputs tolerate continuous overcurrent up to 2 × nominal and short-time overcurrent up to 20 × nominal (1 s).

Lower-range versions permit wiring via a terminal block; higher ranges use a through-wire connection routed through the housing opening. A green front‑panel LED indicates device status (steady = normal operation, flashing = fault). The transmitter is a 17.5 mm wide terminal-block device, rail-mountable and compliant with EN 60688.
