DescriptionType SCMB is a single or multi-stage self-priming horizontal side-channel pump designed for low-flow, high-head applications. The axial suction port combined with a radial impeller provides low NPSH requirements. Steps are sealed from atmosphere with chambered O-rings. Shaft support is provided by SiC plain bearings. The pump uses a permanent magnet coupling and a containment shell to hermetically separate the pumped fluid from the environment. Internal circulation dissipates heat from eddy-current losses. Direct mounting of an auxiliary motor removes the need for additional bearings and a mechanical coupling.
