Description

Description
Type WPM is a single- or multi-stage horizontal side-channel pump with self-priming capability. Side-channel pumps combine self-priming function with a high pressure factor, making them economical for pumping low flow rates against relatively high heads compared with standard centrifugal pumps. Suction and discharge nozzles can be rotated in 90° increments in all directions. Self-priming is guaranteed only with overhead suction and discharge nozzles. Stages are sealed from the atmosphere by chambered O-rings. The pump shaft is supported in plain bearings. The pump features a permanent-magnet coupling and a containment shell that hermetically seals the fluid. An internal circulation system dissipates heat generated by eddy-current losses. Direct mounting of the auxiliary motor eliminates additional bearings and mechanical couplings.
