Description

Cold pressing of diamond segments and green compacts is a process for producing diamond tools such as diamond segments with and without a base, segment rings and green compacts for diamond saw wires by applying pressure at room temperature. There are two pressing methods, namely gravimetric cold pressing, in which the dosing of materials is based on weight, and volumetric cold pressing, which doses on a volume basis. The purpose of cold pressing is to create precise and robust diamond tools that enable specially shaped segments and green compacts for various applications. The aim is to achieve high density and strength in the end products. Adjustable pressing parameters for different materials are crucial for precision and control. Monitoring the pressure during the pressing process and the ability to adapt to different mould sizes and shapes ensure precise implementation of the process. Quality improvement is demonstrated by ensuring high density and hardness of the pressed diamond tools, minimising defects and irregularities in the end products and ensuring consistent quality for optimum performance. high productivity: up to 3 segments/min (single-layer) easy setting of the press parameters high and constant quality of the green compacts thanks to two precise weighing systems flexibility production of all standard segments possible die-clamping system for the use of vertical or horizontal dies granulated or non-granulated powder can be used, both with or without diamond
