Description

Overview
The GP Series 2-passage rotary unions provide two independent flow passages for simultaneous transfer of different media. Specialized sealing technology supports vacuum and bidirectional pressures. Standard housings are carbon steel (black oxide) for air/gas, coolant and petroleum-based hydraulic fluids; stainless steel options are available for corrosive media and water service. GP 2-passage NPT models include a unique shaft configuration for installation via threaded passages or O-ring face seal glands; BSPP-threaded GP 2-passage models are not offered with O-ring face seal glands. GP Series rotary unions are designed for direct integration with standard electrical slip rings to enable combined fluid and electrical/signal/data transfer.

Suitable Media (summary)
  • Air / Gas
  • Coolant
  • Oil / Hydraulic (petroleum-based)
  • Water / Glycol
  • Chemicals (use GPS, SCS, HPS as applicable)
  • DI / Tap Water
  • Food-grade fluids (SCS series)
  • Steam — custom solutions

Notes
* Water/glycol or coolant media must contain rust inhibitors. Oil/hydraulic media must be petroleum-based. All values depend on operating parameters; service life is affected by rotational speed and duty cycle. Applications above 220°F (105°C) or using water above 212°F (100°C) require alternative seal materials. Custom configurations available on request.
