Description

Overview
Weighing vacuum conveying systems enable safe closed-pipe vacuum pneumatic transfer of powders and granular raw materials while providing precise weighing for controlled process feeding. A VACUMATE cyclone unit (vacuum receiver) mounted on a loadcell directly weighs the product during conveying and stops the conveying cycle when the target weight is reached. This approach ensures high accuracy and repeatability for blending, batch dosing and mixer feeding applications.

Operating principle
Product is drawn through the vacuum line and accumulates in the vacuum receiver mounted on weighing cells (loadcells). A PLC-controlled conveying cycle runs until the target weight is reached; the vacuum is then cut off and the receiver discharges the product into the process in a controlled manner.

Key features
  • VACUMATE cyclone (vacuum receiver) operates directly on the loadcell.
  • PLC-controlled automatic conveying and batch management.
  • Filter with automatic jet‑pulse cleaning for continuous filtration performance.
  • Controlled discharge options: rotary valve, butterfly valve or dedicated dosing devices.

Provided advantages
  • Compact layout by combining conveying and weighing in a single unit.
  • High weighing accuracy in the range of ±0.2–1% depending on product and process.
  • Suitable for batch dosing and recipe-controlled production.
  • Reliable feeding for mixers, dosing bunkers and downstream process equipment.
  • Closed-line design reduces dust emissions and operator intervention.

Applications
  • Blending and batch dosing
  • Mixer feeding (PVC dry blend, plastic compounding, masterbatch production etc.)
  • Food additive dosing
  • Chemical mixing processes
  • Bag / big‑bag unloading, sequential feeding from silos or intermediate bunkers

Components and design criteria
System performance is determined by product flow characteristics, conveying distance and required batch precision. Critical design parameters include cyclone/receiver volume, filter area, vacuum capacity and pipeline diameter. PLC-based control terminates conveying cycles at target weights and receiver filtration separates conveying air from the product. Automatic jet‑pulse filter cleaning and various discharge/dosing valve solutions can be integrated for controlled emptying.
