Description

Overview
The ProCeas® is a turnkey laser infrared multigas spectrometer designed for real-time trace-level analysis of gaseous contaminants across industrial and energy applications. Combining patented OFCEAS® (Optical Feedback Cavity Enhanced Absorption Spectroscopy) and LPS (Low Pressure Sampling), ProCeas® provides interference-free, high-accuracy quantification in complex gas matrices without sample heating or drying.

Technology
Optical Feedback Cavity Enhanced Absorption Spectroscopy (OFCEAS®) with Low Pressure Sampling (LPS) for direct, selective absorption measurements at trace levels.

Benefits
  • Application-specific measurement — Multi-gas capability with configurable gas combinations for trace-level detection.
  • Stable long-term performance — Online or intermittent operation without frequent re-calibration or sensor replacement.
  • Lower operational complexity — Multi-point deployment possible; no zero gas or carrier gases required.
  • Faster process response — Real-time detection enables rapid corrective actions to reduce downtime.
  • Infrastructure protection — Early identification of contaminants helps prevent corrosion and damage to carbon beds, pipelines, turbines, etc.
  • Cost savings — Reduced maintenance and extended asset life by preventing impurity-driven degradation.
  • Consistent product quality — Ensures gas purity for critical processes in energy and industrial production.
  • Environmental and safety support — Monitors purity to mitigate leak/explosion risks and improve CO2 injection efficiency in CCUS applications.

Compliance & Certifications
  • Measurement compliance: Northern Lights specifications (latest edition); ISO 14687 (fuel cell hydrogen); ISO 19880 (hydrogen quality for distribution and refuelling); ISO 21087 (hydrogen analytical methods); ISO 2612:2023 (NH3 measurement for biomethane/natural gas); CO2 purity standards for food & beverage.
  • Hazardous area certifications: Options include ATEX Zone 1 & 2, IECEx / UKEX Zone 1, Class I Division 1 (Groups B, C, D T6) and Ex p / Ex d configurations for LNG/RNG/biogas applications.

Applications
  • CCUS: real-time monitoring of CO2 streams and detection of impurities (H2O, O2, SO2, NOx, H2S, CO, NH3, CH4, CH2O) to prevent impurity-driven corrosion and optimize injection.
  • Hydrogen purity and production: detection of critical contaminants (HCl, H2O, H2S, HCOOH, CH2O, NH3) to meet ISO standards and protect downstream equipment.
  • Fuel cell systems: monitoring H2 and air streams in PEM/SOFC to avoid catalyst poisoning.
  • Ammonia cracking: analysis of NH3, H2O, N2, NOx in cracker outputs.
  • NG / LNG: monitoring H2S, CO2, H2O for product quality and asset protection.
  • RNG / biogas: continuous measurement of NH3, CH4, H2O, H2S, CO2, O2 for upgrading and purification.
  • Chemical & petrochemical, chlorine and propylene plants, synthetic fuels / Power-to-X, fertilizer/urea production, cryogenic ASUs, pipeline monitoring, research & metrology labs.
