Description

The EIDE FPC safety brake is a key component in the construction industry and in other sectors where rack-and-pinion, chain, or cable lifting systems are used for heavy loads or platforms. Its main function is to quickly and safely stop the fall of loads or lifting platforms when the normal working speed is exceeded. When does it activate? The FPC automatically engages when the descent speed exceeds between 30% and 50% of the nominal speed of the application. Using centrifugal force, the brake shaft is blocked, which in turn stops the transmission of the structure. The stop is executed in a progressive and cushioned way, ensuring safety and avoiding sudden impacts. Automatic Reset After activation, the FPC brake can be automatically reset by raising the platform a few centimetres in the opposite direction of the lock. This allows work to resume immediately without manual intervention. Key Features - Maximum torque up to 7000 Nm. - Maximum speed over 120 m/min. - Progressive centrifugal locking. - Micro switch to monitor brake status. - Various designs: output shaft, two shafts, or hollow shaft. - Available in unidirectional or bidirectional versions. - Complies with standards: EN 12158, EN 12159, EN 1495, Directive 2014/33/EU. Applications The FPC safety brake is suitable for a wide range of applications: - Construction and civil engineering. - Lifting platforms. - Vertical material handling systems. - Machinery with rack-and-pinion, chain, or cable drives.
