The EFE electromagnetic clutch-brake is characterized by building a very compact unit, extremely narrow and with a safe and fast response. Its short length allows it to be installed at the end of cantilevered shafts, providing drive control for easy installation and safe service.
It is free of slip rings, maintaining the electromagnetic group by means of a set of self-protected radial bearings, in such a way that they will make it independent from the behavior of the clutch-brake mechanical set.
The same electromagnetic group acts as a support for the rest of the set, building in itself a compact and self-supporting unit.
It is within a group formed by a clutch and a brake that also serves to transmit or stop transmitting the rotary movement of the engine in short periods of time. The advantage over mounting only one clutch is that it prevents unwanted turns due to inertia and allows the output shaft to be positioned at the desired point.
The short length of the EFE electromagnetic clutch-brake allows it to be installed at the end of cantilever shafts, providing a drive control that is easy to install and safe to service.
