Description
Manually regulated brakes. Braking is achieved using a felt pad actuated axially. Intermediate springs provide a feel that absorbs irregularities, ideal for rolls with diameters under 300 mm.
Actuated manually via a threaded system, greater or lesser axial load is applied to the shaft using a fixed mechanism, a spring, and a felt pad that friction with the moving part of the shaft. This allows precise tension adjustment. Note that for rolls with small diameters (less than 300 mm), brake adjustment generally should not be performed during the process.
