Product overview
Mechanical brakes for tension control and braking on small-diameter rolls. Braking is produced by an axially actuated felt pad; intermediate springs provide damping that absorbs irregularities for a smoother feel. Recommended for rolls with diameters under 300 mm.

Operation
Manually actuated via a threaded regulation system: axial load is applied to the shaft by a fixed mechanism, an intermediate spring and the felt pad which creates friction with the rotating part of the shaft. The threaded adjustment enables precise tension control. For rolls with diameter below 300 mm, brake adjustment is generally not performed while the roll is running.
