The EMUGE BasicDrill twist drill product range is constantly being expanded and is now also available in 8xD length. The EMUGE- BasicDrill twist drills are aimed at universal use, with steel materials in the focus of tool design. The product development was determined by the price and performance requirements of customers who machine many different materials with the same tool. The carbide, coating and cutting edge shape have been optimised for universal use. The special curved cutting edge produces very short chips and shapes the chip so that it can be easily evacuated from the hole through the optimised shape of the flute. A particularly robust cutting corner guarantees precise drilling and long tool life. The BasicDrill likes feed - more rather than too little! Conservative values are fine, but not what our technical inventors had in mind. And that is why we always recommend higher feed rates in order to utilise the full potential of the BasicDrill. The drill shows its strengths particularly in worm shafts, joint rings, crankshafts, turbine housings and wheel hubs - and in many more workpieces! This list is not complete! We are confident that we can also find a suitable drilling concept for your application! In the future, EMUGE will subdivide the cutting tools into three performance groups, which will make it easier for the customer to choose and lead to the optimal tool for the application. The new Basic twist drill product line is assigned to the universal performance group.
