Technical description
Intended for objective visual assessment of color and surface under constant, defined lighting conditions. The MATCHMASTER 425 III/LED provides three standardized light types in a compact bench unit to inspect and evaluate color samples such as inks, paints, plastics, textiles, paper and colorants. A Test Certificate for light quality is issued on delivery for MATCHMASTER 425 III/LED and 425 IV/LED.

Three types of light can be simulated
The unit reproduces the most relevant viewing illuminants: 6500 K (D65, artificial daylight, full-spectrum balanced), 4000 K (TL84, office/store light, high luminance) and 2700 K (A, incandescent/home light with high red content). These three light types reflect typical end-user viewing conditions and are essential for reliable appearance assessment.

Design and Function
The MATCHMASTER 425 III/LED is a standard light cabinet with three LED light sources (6500 K D65, 4000 K TL84, 2700 K A). Manual switching between illuminants is possible in any order. An optional diffuser is available for uniform light distribution. The bench models are made from lacquered metal sheets, can be assembled without tools within minutes, and are open at the front. An illuminated control panel with toggle switches and pictograms for each light type enables simple operation. Each cabinet is supplied with a Test Certificate (light quality).
