Description
Designed for manufacturers, processors and users of coating and coloured materials who regularly perform visual colour and surface assessments. The MATCHMASTER 425 IV/LED provides defined, repeatable viewing conditions with multiple standard illuminants suitable for inks, paints, plastics, textiles, paper, cosmetics and other coloured materials.

Light quality / Certificate
A test certificate (light quality) is issued on delivery for the MATCHMASTER 425 III/LED and 425 IV/LED to document the spectral performance of the installed light sources.

Three types of light
The cabinet reproduces three standard illuminants: 6500 K (D65 – artificial daylight, full spectrum), 4000 K (TL84 – office/store light) and 2700 K (A – incandescent/home light with high red content). These light types are used to assess how a colour will appear under typical end‑use lighting conditions.

Design and function
The MATCHMASTER 425 IV/LED is a bench‑top colour matching cabinet equipped with three LED light sources (D65, TL84, A). The illuminants can be switched manually in any order. A diffusor plate is available as an option to ensure uniform light distribution. Units are made from lacquered metal sheets and can be assembled without tools in minutes. The front is open for easy sample placement. An illuminated control panel with toggle switches and pictograms enables intuitive operation. Each unit is delivered with a Test Certificate (light quality).
