DescriptionDesigned for control of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and similar waste- and process-air vent applications. Vent-Scrub® vapor-phase carbon adsorbers use activated carbon in carbon-steel vessels with a corrosion-resistant internal coating and baked epoxy/urethane finishes where specified. Units are available for rental, lease or build-own-operate in six models containing 200 to 8,000 lb of activated carbon and rated to treat flows from 100 to 3,750 cfm. Optional piping manifolds permit series or parallel configurations to match site requirements.
Features- Carbon steel pressure vessel construction
- Abrasion- and corrosion-resistant baked epoxy internal lining; urethane exterior finish on specified models (Vent-Scrub 1000 and 2000)
- Ready-to-use systems for straightforward installation and operation
- Standard applications up to 500 SCFM (other models rated up to 3,750 cfm)
- Vent-Scrub 1000 and 2000 include forklift channels for handling
- Vessels approved as UN/DOT containers for transportation of RCRA hazardous spent carbon
- Optional hose kit and pipe manifold to simplify installation and service exchange
- Optional piping: 2" or 3" Sch 80 PVC; optional carbon steel or stainless steel piping
- Series or parallel operation via manifold (optional)
- Sampling ports and pressure gauges
- Flexible hoses with Cam-lock fittings for quick connection and removal during service exchange
Applications- API separator vents
- VOC control from soil vapor extraction (SVE) systems and air strippers
- Wastewater and product storage tank vents
- Process vents
- Refinery and chemical plant wastewater sewer vents
- Laboratory hood exhausts
