Overview
EXAIR's Standard Air Wipe™ delivers a uniform 360° airstream designed for blowoff, drying, cleaning and cooling of pipe, cable, extruded shapes, hose and tubing. The split (two‑piece) design clamps easily around moving material—no threading required. Kits include the Standard Air Wipe, shim set, filter separator and pressure regulator with coupler.

  • Construction: aluminum body with coated screws and plastic shims (general purpose PVC air hose included with sizes up to 4" / 102 mm)
  • Temperature rating: up to 150°F (66°C) for aluminum models
  • Best suited for non-corrosive environments when stainless hardware is not required


Accessories
  • Standard Air Wipe Shim Sets: the Standard Air Wipe has a nominal .002" (0.05 mm) gap setting. Shim sets (included in kits or available separately) contain two each of .001" (0.03 mm), .003" (0.08 mm) and .004" (0.10 mm) plastic shims to adjust force/flow by changing the gap.
  • Kits: include a Standard Air Wipe, shim set, filter separator (automatic drain, 5 micron element sized for the flow) and a pressure regulator with coupler (sized properly for flow).

How It Works
Compressed air enters an annular chamber and is throttled through a small ring nozzle at high velocity. The primary airstream follows a Coanda profile along an angled surface, creating a low‑pressure center that entrains surrounding air into the primary stream. The result is a conical 360° ring of air that attaches to the material's surface and uniformly wipes it with high-velocity airflow.

Specifications
  • Available throat diameters (I.D.): 1/2", 1", 2", 3", 4", 5", 6", 7", 9" and 11" (13, 25, 51, 76, 102, 127, 152, 178, 229 and 279 mm). Special diameters available.
  • Materials of construction: aluminum body, coated screws, plastic shims; general purpose PVC air hose included with sizes up to 4" (102 mm).
  • Temperature rating: up to 150°F (66°C) for aluminum models.
  • Gap setting: nominal .002" (0.05 mm); shim options: .001" (0.03 mm), .003" (0.08 mm), .004" (0.10 mm).
  • Filtration: kits include automatic drain filter with 5 micron element sized for flow; use clean air.
  • Compressed air inlets: inlet on each half; sizes 9" (229 mm) and larger have two inlets per half to maintain uniform airflow.
  • Mounting: can be supported by compressed air supply pipe; tapped mounting holes (1/4-20) on downstream side.
  • Regulation: pressure regulator provides infinite control of flow, force and air consumption; kits include a properly sized regulator.
  • Air consumption range (at 80 PSIG / 5.5 BAR): approximately 11.1 to 122.8 SCFM depending on model.
  • Sound level range (measured at 3' / 914 mm): approximately 80 to 89 dBA depending on model.
  • Kits include: Standard Air Wipe, shim set, filter separator and pressure regulator with coupler (as specified per kit).
