Description
The Standard Air Wipe Shim Set adjusts the exhaust gap on EXAIR Standard Air Wipes to control air force and flow. The Air Wipe ships with a .002" (0.05 mm) plastic shim installed that suits most applications; adding shims opens the gap to increase force and flow. Shim Sets include two each of .001" (0.03 mm), .003" (0.08 mm) and .004" (0.10 mm) plastic shims. Shim sets are supplied with kits or sold separately.

How it works
Compressed air enters the Air Wipe inlet and fills an annular chamber. It is throttled through a ring nozzle at high velocity and follows the Coanda profile, directing the primary airstream down the angled surface. A low-pressure area at the center induces a high volume of ambient air into the primary stream. The combined flow exits as a 360° conical ring of high-velocity air that uniformly wipes the surface of material passing through the Air Wipe.
