Overview
Thermostat-controlled stainless steel ATEX Cabinet Cooler® Systems are ATEX-certified for use on purged electrical enclosures in Zone 2 and Zone 22 areas. Using vortex tube technology with no moving parts, these CE-compliant systems include a water-dirt filter separator, cold air distribution kit and a low-pressure relief valve that seals when the cooler is idle to preserve NEMA 4X enclosure integrity. The thermostat activates the cooler only when enclosure temperature approaches the setpoint (factory set to 95°F / 35°C), reducing compressed air consumption. Units are available in cooling capacities from 1,000 to 5,600 Btu/hr.

Included components
Thermostat-controlled systems include the Cabinet Cooler®, ATEX-approved solenoid valve, adjustable thermostat (factory set to 95°F / 35°C), 5-micron automatic-drain water-dirt filter separator, and cold air distribution kit to direct airflow for circulation or hot-spot cooling.

Important notes
These ATEX Cabinet Cooler® Systems are intended for use on purged and pressurized enclosures but are not standalone purged and pressurized control systems. They must be used with a properly purged and pressurized enclosure. Elevated inlet air temperature or reduced supply pressure will reduce cooling capacity. Continuous-operation models typically stabilize enclosure relative humidity at about 45% if the enclosure is sealed to prevent condensation.
