Overview
Thermostat-controlled Hazardous Location NEMA 4 (IP66) Cabinet Cooler® Systems are engineered and UL classified for use on purged electrical enclosures in classified areas. These vortex-tube systems generate cold air with no moving parts, include a 5‑micron automatic drain water/dirt filter separator and a cold-air distribution kit, and feature a low-pressure relief valve that closes when the cooler is off to preserve NEMA 4 integrity. Thermostat control activates cooling only when internal temperatures approach preset limits and is recommended for fluctuating heat loads.

Installation & mounting

Other considerations
When sealed correctly, relative humidity inside the enclosure for continuous operation stabilizes at approximately 45%; inlet air temperature and supply pressure affect delta‑T and cooling capacity. If oil is present in the compressed air supply, use a coalescing (oil removal) filter in addition to the standard filter separator.
