Die spotting presses are used in the manufacturing and verification process of dies and moulds. Their dimensions are defined according to the die or mould to be retouched. In general, the force applied by these presses is considerably lower than that of production presses or tryout presses, as the aim is not to obtain a part, but to check the contact surfaces between the top and bottom of the die or mould. Die spotting presses are demanding in terms of guidance and stopping accuracy, since contact must be kept to a minimum for a good fit check as well as to prevent any cutting elements that are not accurately adjusted from damaging the other half of the die. These die spotting presses can be equipped with a die turning system. A swivelling option is available at the bottom and top. These turns improve the ergonomics of the die setters. For less demanding applications you can use die spotting Presses which have column guides that simplify and lower the cost of the press.
