OverviewThe DualGear drive system by FAULHABER is engineered for conveyor belts and compact wheel drives in autonomous logistics systems. It delivers two synchronous outputs from a single, diameter‑compliant drive unit, reducing integration complexity, installation space and system cost.
Key benefits- Two synchronous, powerful outputs driven by one motor and a single central controller
- Compact, diameter‑compliant design based on BX4 motor family for constrained installation spaces
- High dynamics, precision and durable construction with welded joints
- Lower integration effort and reduced system footprint compared with two separate drives
Technical conceptThe DualGear integrates a brushless BX4 base motor (32 mm) with robust GPT metal planetary gearheads mounted at both ends. Hall sensors with sine/cosine outputs provide precise rotor position feedback for accurate commutation and positioning. The modular concept supports different motor lengths (42 mm, 68 mm) and up to three gear stages to adapt speed and torque to application needs.
ApplicationsDesigned for modern conveying and intralogistics systems with limited space, e.g. conveyor belts and compact wheel drives for autonomous vehicles and platforms. The solution simplifies system architecture where two synchronized movements are required.
