Roller Conveyor Transfer Plates (RCTP) are floating plates installed between rollers to cover gaps and prevent small packages, envelopes and polybags from falling between rollers while reducing the risk of worker entrapment or injury.
Features & Benefits- Suitable for operations that handle a variety of packaged items, from soft and pliable to dense and compact.
- Manufactured from a proprietary low‑friction material offering enhanced wear and impact resistance.
- Bright yellow color for visual identification and easy monitoring.
- Standard 12" plate is field‑cuttable to match conveyor width.
Installation- Prepare conveyor area
- Ensure rollers and surrounding area are clear of debris.
- Remove significant buildup on rollers.
- Measure inside width of conveyor frame.
- Determine number of RCTP 12" plates required.
- Cut transfer plates to length
- Minimum cut length: 4" (each leg section is 1").
- Use a leg notcher to cut the legs at their base to the required length.
- Use a plate cutter to trim the transfer plate to final length.
- Install RCTP
- Insert plate from the side using a rocking motion into the roller gap; do not insert from the conveyor end.
- Place cut end against adjoining plate with the spring tab positioned toward the conveyor frame.
- Plates are designed to float slightly in the gap; adjusting the end tab may assist with length modification.
