OverviewThe Fluke 9260 Mini Fixed-Point Cell Furnace is a compact ITS-90 fixed-point furnace designed for economical, space-saving realization of primary temperature fixed points using mini fixed-point cells (indium, tin, zinc, aluminum). It covers ITS-90 fixed points from 156.5985 °C to 660.323 °C and is engineered for simple, largely hands-off operation with built-in software routines for each cell type.
Key features- Mini fixed point furnace.
- Available indium, tin, zinc, and aluminum mini cells.
- Quartz and metal fixed point cell options.
- Approximately half the cost of full-size fixed-point solutions.
Key benefits- Lower total cost: smaller furnace and lower-cost, smaller-volume 99.9999% pure metal cells reduce investment and ongoing costs.
- Complete ITS-90 coverage using indium, tin, zinc and aluminum mini cells to realize primary fixed points required for laboratory calibration.
- Simple, hands-off operation: place a fixed-point cell in the furnace, run the built-in routine for the cell type (melting or freezing curves), and obtain a stable cell within a short time.
- Flexible software control: choose melting-point or freezing-point curves for each metal; melting points are easier to realize with negligible additional uncertainty for most labs.
- Proven performance: mini cells at melting points provide results comparable to traditional cells at freezing points for most applications.
- High-precision comparison calibrations: optional comparison blocks available (pre-drilled or custom wells) with well depth of 229 mm (9 in).

Notes on operation- Built-in software routines support melting- or freezing-point curves for each metal cell type.
- Typical workflow: insert cell, allow furnace/cell to precondition, run the automated routine and use the stabilized plateau for precise measurement.
