The Fumex AFSA is a simple exhaust rail for shorter rescue vehicles with low-mounted exhaust pipes, such as ambulances. It is designed to provide effective exhaust extraction for moving emergency vehicles while ensuring reliable connection and automatic operation during entry and exit.

The system is built with load-bearing aluminium profiles and an integrated guide rail. Its chain suspension simplifies installation and makes the rail easy to adjust for different vehicle heights. The design also supports completely automatic function at turnout and approach.

During operation, the rail moves sideways and automatically returns to its centre position. At approach, the vehicle is backed up to the trolley and the exhaust pipe is caught by the trolley’s trapping arms. Possible side movement is 1.5 m, the effective track length is 4–10 m, and the hose compression space is 1–3 m. The connection dimension is 160 mm.

The AFSA can be equipped with different automatic solutions, including automatic nozzle disconnection and start/stop control for fans and dampers. Ceiling brackets and nozzles are ordered separately, and compatible fans and fan controls are available in separate product sheets.
