The wireless system in the proboxx enclosure, which can be equipped with 1 to 4 command points, offers innovative solutions for wireless communication and network integration in modern buildings as well as wireless, stable and reliable operation and control of machines and systems.
The operation of the sWave wireless technology from steute is very energy-efficient. Thanks to the low energy consumption and a special internal lithium-ion cell, the proboxx can be operated for approximately 6 years without changing the battery if operated one time per minute. This wireless technology significantly reduces the installation effort.
The implemented LBT (Listen Before Talk) prevents data loss due to collisions. The LBT checks beforehand if the radio channel is free so that the recipient can receive the data safely. There are two different receivers that can be used with the wireless proboxx: One receiver with 4 channels and one potential-free relay output each and one receiver with TCP/UDP/IP connection, RJ45 interface for 10/100 Base-T-Ethernet and web browser administration. Both receiver can manage up to 40 transmitters.
The wireless proboxx uses the license-free transmission frequency of 868 MHz. This low frequency enables transmission ranges from 30 m to 40 m, passes through absorbing objects more easily, is less prone to failure and requires less energy.
Particular attention was paid to the design during the development of the proboxx. The screws are located on the bottom, so the exposed screw heads do not disturb the appearance of the enclosure. This detail aligns with the added value of safety: The enclosure cannot be opened without dismounting it.
