Laser protection cells for sensitive processes in production Laser enclosures must fulfill two essential requirements: No hazardous laser radiation may escape. In addition, sensitive production processes must be protected from all external influences. At häwa, we build the optimized laser protection cell for your application. The X-frame system is a standard laser protection system used for protection up to class 4. Pre-engineered laser components are combined to provide an effective protection system, regardless of the laser type. The modular system includes overlapping door systems, laser protection frames, labyrinths and much more. Laser protection windows are customized for each system. For higher power lasers, double-walled protective cells with active laser protection, such as LaserSpy, are available. häwa also constructs completely light-tight systems based on laser protection cells. Solutions for such applications include the overlapping of surfaces, additional metal plates and edging, as well as special seals to break the light. In the case of stray light, the panel can be foamed with a PU seal on its contact surfaces. The interior cells are coated in a matte black to prevent disturbing reflections. These X-frame machine frames are used, for example, in welding and bonding systems to prevent UV light, which is harmful to the eyes, from escaping. Another area of application is frames for optical measurements.
