Overview
SMD80-BT40 direct magnetic motor spindle is designed for drilling, tapping, boring, milling and other machining applications. SMD80 is equipped with an encoder and a 7.5 kW frequency drive with PG card to accurately control spindle speed and positioning. At low speeds the inverter automatically compensates for reduced torque to improve processing stability. Standard maximum speed is 1500 rpm; 6000 rpm is available as an option. Spindle taper: BT40. Motor power: 4.2 kW; rated torque: 20.0 Nm (optional 25Nm). An oil cooler is recommended to maintain stable operation of the magnetic motor.
