Overview
Voltage detector family for medium, high and extra-high voltage lines designed for use with an insulating hot stick. Lightweight FRP insulating stick improves operability; models cover a wide voltage range and include battery-less and positive-indication options.

Models (examples shown on this page)

• HST-30 / HST-30L — Medium & High Voltage Detector: AC 3 kV to 34.5 kV. HST-30L is the long-length version for feeder work.
• HST-70 / HST-70L — Medium & High Voltage Detector: AC 20 kV to 80.5 kV. HST-70L is a long-length version.
• HST-170 — Medium & High Voltage Detector: AC 60 kV to 195.5 kV.
• HST-250 — Medium & High Voltage Detector: AC 150 kV to 287.5 kV.
• HST-W80L — Medium & High Voltage Detector: AC 20 kV to 80.5 kV, long-length version.
• HSR-500 — Extra High Voltage Detector: AC 250 kV to 550 kV. Intended for highest-voltage transmission lines; provides positive indication with high-luminance flashing red LED and intermittent electronic buzzer for visibility in daylight and noisy environments. Sensor is sealed for waterproofing and protection against contamination.
• HST-20N — Medium Voltage Detector (AC/DC dual use): AC 3 kV to 25 kV / DC 3 kV to 25 kV. Newer, reduced-weight model compared with previous HS-20N.
• HSR-90N — Voltage Detector for Medium and High Voltage (wide range AC/DC): 6 kV to 90 kV. Positive indication (flashing LED and buzzer) and waterproof sensor.
• WM Series (Pinwheel Type) — Pinwheel-type voltage detector: AC 6.6 kV to 500 kV. Battery-less operation; detection confirmation by rotation of pinwheel driven by detected energy.

Notes
Model-specific specification images and detailed charts are provided per model (see product specification images on the page). Shielded/conductive-sheath cables cannot be detected by these detectors.

Technical characteristics / specifications

• Insulating stick material: FRP (lightweight, good operability).
• Tip metal fitting: shock-absorbing spring structure.
• Operating rod: in applicable models the rod can be extended to longer lengths for specific tasks; shortening is not permitted for safety reasons.
• Detection ranges vary by model (examples above cover approximately 3 kV up to 550 kV depending on series and model).
• HSR-series positive indication: high-luminance flashing red LED and intermittent distinct electronic buzzer for clear perception in bright daylight and noisy environments.
• Sealed/waterproof sensor enclosure on select models to prevent failure from dirt, water, and foreign objects.
• Long-length variants (L suffix) available for feeder or extended-reach work.
• WM pinwheel series: battery-less operation using the detected energy to drive the pinwheel for detection confirmation.
