Description

The 25kV aluminum conductor insulated cable features a compact round conductor, composed of aluminum strands, blocked or not, and with a cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) covered in black or gray color, with special characteristics to be resistant against electric tracking and UV-rays. As XLPE is a thermoset material, the 25KV aluminum conductor insulated cable enables operation up to 90°C continuously all while delivering higher capacity when compared to the thermoplastic materials. The main application for insulated aluminum cables is on compact overhead, primary power distribution, medium-voltage networks located in urban and wooded areas. These overhead cables are an excellent technical and economic option for companies all over the world, since they have such advantages as low manufacturing cost and ease of installation.
