This is a CNC turning and milling combination metal fitting with high production technology requirements. It is commissioned by an American company to assist in the manufacture of spare parts for its medical products. It is made of 630 stainless steel, SUS630 is a martensitic precipitation hardening stainless steel, Chinese grade: 0Cr17Ni4Cu4Nb. It has high strength, high hardness, good welding performance, and corrosion resistance.
This product has three length specifications, which are 12mm, 14mm, and 16mm. This is also the difference caused by the different designs of the front end. The length of the rear end of the product is the same. Due to the tension of the machine, we have to check the machine after each batch is produced. The parameters are adjusted, and then the next batch is produced.
The front end of the product is an independent thread and pin design. We adopt the method of milling first and then turning to avoid the possible thread deformation caused by turning first and then milling. The middle end of the product is a structure with a thread and a nut, which plays a role in adjusting the push distance of the bolt. The back end of the product is relatively simple, which is equivalent to a handle of the bolt. We marked the product number on the surface with laser engraving according to customer requirements.
Although the product requires high precision and complex structure, the customer is very satisfied with our first proofing, and mass production will begin soon.
