Short description
The Anybus Communicator AB7010-B is a protocol converter that connects serial devices to Modbus-RTU control systems. It converts standard and proprietary serial protocols to Modbus-RTU, enabling integration of RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 equipment into Modbus-RTU networks with minimal configuration.

Supported protocols and serial functionality
Supports RS-232, RS-422, RS-485, DF1 and standard Modbus RTU. Enables custom request/response commands and custom produce/consume transactions, trigger-initiated transactions, Modbus-RTU passive slave node operation and Modbus diagnostics.

Hardware & installation
IP20-rated Communicator designed for DIN-rail (EN 50022) mounting with a slim 27 mm width to place close to connected equipment. Power via 2-pin 5.08 Phoenix plug connector (24 V DC). Includes reverse polarity and short-circuit protection.
