Overview
The Anybus Communicator Serial Master to Common Ethernet enables connection of RS-232/485 devices to PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP control systems. The Communicator provides reliable, secure and high-speed data transfer between disparate industrial networks and includes built-in cybersecurity features and an intuitive web-based user interface for configuration and monitoring.

• Easily convert proprietary RS-232/485 protocols: Convert Request/Response or Produce/Consume protocols using a drag-and-drop frame builder to create frames, insert/extract data and handle variable frames.
• Connect up to 32 Modbus RTU servers (slaves): Supports up to 32 servers, 150 Modbus commands, selectable 3 ms serial update rate, graphical transaction builder, controller/PLC triggers and inter-node data exchange.
• High data throughput: Transfer up to 1500 bytes to and from the controller (network dependent) in each direction (3000 bytes total) via dual 10/100 Mbit full-duplex RJ45 ports with integrated switch for daisy-chaining.
