The fine impact mills belonging to the Ultraplex UPZ product line are used for grinding finenesses in the range 50 µm to 5 mm. A wide range of grinding elements is available, making it possible to operate the UPZ as a pin mill if required. The Ultraplex UPZ series fine impact mills achieve a grinding fineness of approximately 50 µm to 5 mm and are available in ten sizes ranging from 100 UPZ to 1400 UPZ, suitable for applications ranging from laboratory testing to large-scale industrial production. Tough-fibrous roots and spices, for example, require completely different milling elements to granulated sugar in order to optimally fulfil the individual requirements, both in technical and economic terms.
