OverviewHZ5373 is a 3000A primary current injection test set (upconverter) designed for primary bus protection testing and current transformer ratio verification. It integrates CNC processing, a self-coupling low-power high-capacity voltage regulator and a high-permeability iron-core converter to deliver rated output power in a compact, transportable enclosure.
Features- Compact chassis with PVC front panel for field use.
- Panel displays for primary and secondary values to simplify observation and recording.
- Measurement accuracy: practical accuracy ~0.3 (declared better than 0.5 level).
- High output power with strong load capacity; continuous AC output to rated current.
- Reduced volume and weight (approx. 30%–70% of comparable units) for easier transport.
- 6.5-digit LCD for voltage/current and 128×64 dot-matrix LCD for system data.
- Indicator display lock for stable readings during ratio tests.
- Automatic transformer polarity detection and automatic ratio detection.
- Self-locking (locking) function and standard protection circuits.
Main functions and working principle- Measurement circuitry includes current measurement loop and polarity loop; optional voltage measurement loop (PT-isolated) available.
- Current measurement: low-impedance CT, program-controlled amplifier and sampling circuits.
- Digital control: 16-bit MCU with real-time acquisition comparing measured values to settings for timing and protection actions.
- Output waveform: standard sine wave, distortion and ripple coefficient < 0.3%.
- Output mode: true RMS continuous adjustable current with high stability (0.2%).
- Protections: overcurrent and overvoltage protection functions integrated.
Operating notes / Method of operation- Verify wiring and connector contacts before powering the unit.
- If abnormal conditions occur at startup (no display, smoke, burning smell), immediately disconnect mains and inspect wiring.
- Ensure current output terminal forms a closed loop; otherwise no current will be generated.
- Use external copper conductors sized at least 10 A/mm²; standard supply includes two 3 m test leads.
- Designed for short-term output: five minutes short-term duty; for batch testing keep duty cycles < 2.5 minutes; plan thermal conditions for prolonged tests.
- Operation sequence: set current knob to zero → connect primary/secondary as required → power on → enable power control → increase current via adjustment knob → read primary/secondary meters for ratio calculation. For impulse tests, set required current and use impact switch as procedure dictates.
