Overview
COMPATTA is the compactable mobile racking system for intensive storage of heavy and bulky loads. It is a semi-automatic storage system composed of racking mounted on mobile bases which, thanks to a motorization mechanism, run on rails integrated into the floor. Moving the mobile bases allows opening an access aisle to the material; the operator can open or close the aisle using the button on the base or via remote control.

How it works
The typical operating sequence includes:

• Operator login (via optional tablet, RFID or username/password entry).
• Search or request of material in the management system.
• Consent to movement via dedicated device/button.
• Opening of the selected aisle via motorization of the mobile bases.
• Pick or deposit operation carried out by the operator; release and logout at end of activity.

Safety and control
Photoelectric barriers positioned at entrances and along service aisles and on the mobile bases immediately stop movement in case of people or obstacles. Every movement requires operational consent via a button on the main electrical panel or on the panels on each mobile base.

ICON is the web-based software that manages COMPATTA: a multi-language, multi-machine application designed to interface with common WMS and ERP systems. It offers fast response times, optimized path processing and assignment of specific user authorizations.
