Description

RIGO — The horizontal automated storage system that unlocks underutilized space.
Standard automation often fails where structural constraints begin. Whether it’s low-ceiling environments, mezzanines, or column-heavy floor plans, these 'lost' spaces are frequently dismissed as unplannable. RIGO changes the narrative.
Engineered specifically for unconventional layouts, RIGO reclaims underutilized footprints, turning architectural bottlenecks into productive, automated storage hubs.

When a Vertical Lift Module (VLM) is not an option
If you are evaluating automated storage, you’ve likely asked yourself: “Do I have enough clear height?”, “Will I need major civil works?”, “Can I install it where I actually need it?”RIGO flips the script:
  • Low-profile design: requires minimal overhead clearance.
  • Zero structural impact: no building modifications needed.
  • Layout-friendly: no need to rethink your entire floor plan.

Operating principle
Engineered to operate starting from 2.2 meters in height, RIGO leverages horizontal footprint instead of vertical elevation. Like the most advanced automated systems, RIGO operates on the Goods-to-Person (GTP) principle, but it succeeds where others cannot:
featuring two opposing shelving rows and a central mini-load moving across X, Y, and Z axes, RIGO delivers the right trays directly to the access opening, at ergonomic height. The result: material is brought to the operator, eliminating unnecessary movement and ensuring maximum efficiency, accuracy, and reduced access times.
All operations are managed by the ICON software, which controls the entire workflow; each operation is recorded, and trays are repositioned automatically based on optimization logic, ensuring real-time stock accuracy and continuous efficiency.

Technical specifications
  • System type: horizontal Lift Module, multi-column, modular, intelligent
  • Number of columns: 2 ÷ 20
  • Number of picking/refilling stations: 1 ÷ 6
  • Height: 2,200 ÷ 4,500 mm
  • Width: up to 20,005 mm
  • Depth: 2,294 mm
  • Tray load capacity: up to 105 kg
  • Column load capacity: up to 7.6 tons
  • Tray dimensions: width: 800 / 1,000 mm, depth: 600 mm, height: 75 ÷ 475 mm
  • Throughput: 59 ÷ 86 trays/hour (with side-by-side picking/refilling stations)
  • Operating temperature: 0 ÷ 40 °C
  • Relative humidity: 50 ÷ 85%

Real operational flexibility
RIGO can be configured with 1 to 6 picking/refilling stations (side-by-side or opposite-facing) to serve multiple departments simultaneously with a single system.
This setup guarantees uninterrupted workflow, a throughput of up to 86 trays/hour, as the system pre-stages the next tray while the operator completes the current task, effectively eliminating idle time.

Key benefits
  • High storage density in low-height facilities.
  • Better cost/storage capacity ratio (€/m³)
  • Modular design and flexible configuration (from 2 to 20 columns).
  • Versatility across diverse industries and load types
  • Seamless ERP/WMS integration

Options & integrations
  • IRIDE — Interactive Picking System: provides a fully guided picking experience:
    • Light Picking Guide: pinpoints the exact compartment with high-intensity colored light beams.
    • Head-up Digital Dashboard (HUD): displays mission data, part info, and quantities directly in the operator’s line of sight.
    • Adaptive Interior Lighting: visual alerts for critical events.
    • Active Control: full mission management from the access opening.
    • IRIDE eliminates errors and accelerates cycle times.
Configuration Note: for systems with a total height below 2,600 mm, IRIDE is available in a compact configuration.
  • Automatic tray extraction & telescopic picking/refilling stations.
  • RFID badge readers, label printers, and load cells.
  • Insulated panels for temperature-controlled environments.
