Overview
Optidrive Eco provides a compact, application-specific variable frequency drive (VFD) solution for pump stations, enabling flexible multi-pump control without the need for PLCs or separate pump controllers. Designed to simplify installation and operation, it delivers centralized control, rapid commissioning and energy-efficient variable-speed operation for up to five pumps.

Optiflow (Total Control)
  • A single Master drive manages and monitors system operation; control interfaces are connected to the Master only.
  • Slave drives connect via a single RJ45 link and require minimal commissioning, reducing installation time and wiring complexity.
  • Supports up to five pumps in any configuration (Duty / Assist / Standby) with automatic duty rotation to equalize run-time and maximise equipment life and efficiency.

Avoid Pump Downtime
  • Blockage detect/clear: detects blockages and can trigger configurable cleaning/de-ragging cycles to clear obstructions automatically.
  • Dry-run protection: monitors speed/power to warn or shut down the pump when running dry, preventing damage.
  • Motor preheat function: configurable preheating to prevent condensation during inactivity and immediately after stop.
  • Pump stir cycle: configurable agitation/cleaning cycles triggered after periods of inactivity to remove sediment.

Drive Controlled Bypass
The drive can operate as an intelligent bypass controller within a bypass circuit. Bypass mode can be activated by building management commands or automatically selected on trip conditions to minimise service disruption.

Pump Prime with Burst Pipe Protection
Prime mode provides controlled starts to ensure correct filling and pressurisation of pipework. Low-pressure alarms are ignored during priming but a failsafe timeout prevents continuous running if priming fails. During normal operation the drive monitors minimum pressure and will trip on sustained low-pressure events (e.g. burst pipe).
