Overview
CUMBERLAND inside. Insonorized blade granulator model C-4070-3K with 510×700 mm load box and 419 mm rotor, designed for efficient size reduction of bulky plastic parts.

Hopper
Hopper for frontal loading or integration with a conveyor belt, fully soundproofed.

• Nr. 3 polyurethane flaps to reduce noise leakage and avoid flyback of material from the cutting chamber.
• Servo-assisted manual tilting system for easy cleaning and maintenance.

Cutting chamber
Constructed with bolted and pinned components for rapid restoration. Bearing supports are external to the cutting chamber to prevent contamination by dust and liquids. Two fixed reversible blades mounted with wear-compensation device. All internal surfaces are precision-machined to facilitate cleaning. Front access system for fixed blade adjustment (“EasyAccess CUMBERLAND”).

Rotor
Self-cooling open rotor with balanced central axis and robust rotating blade mounts. Double cutting-angle "scissor effect" for higher efficiency, reduced noise and lower energy consumption. Rotor and chamber shape improve grip on bulky items and minimize bounce. Rotor fitted side-by-side with two rotating discs to prevent filamentary material wrapping. Internal fins provide cooling to side walls and bearings.

Blade housing
Rotor and three-blade housings made from high chromium–carbon steel with CUMBERLAND abrasion-resistant treatment. Rotating blades are bolted with high-strength screws and manufactured in K110 (approx. 58 HRC).

Grid
Grid support hinged at the rear with gas shock absorber for easy cleaning and maintenance. Reversible grids available in several sizes.

Base frame
Heavy-gauge steel base with anti-vibration cutting-chamber supports. Access door and motor casing in insulating and sound-absorbing material.

Unloading
Collector drawer for connection to extraction/suction systems, equipped with side guides for simple assembly and cleaning.

Motor
22 kW TEFC IP55 A.C. motor on adjustable slide for belt tensioning.

Drive parts
Rotor driven by a high-inertia pulley flywheel. Transmission via V-belts. Prepared for fitting a second flywheel. Rotor speed: 450 rpm.

Safety
Motion sensor ensures rotor is fully stationary before permitting service-door opening. Front emergency stop and safety micro-switch. Control panel relay verifies correct operation of all safety systems. Pivot key to lock rotor in convenient position for blade change.

Electrical panel
Fully IP55 control panel with all components for safe operation and management of the granulator. Star-delta motor starter. Low-voltage control. Power supply: 380 V — 3 phases — 50 Hz.

Accident prevention
Machine supplied with safety stickers and a user & maintenance manual. Built to CE standards.

Estimated production
450–700 kg/h depending on material and grid diameter.
