What is DC metering?DC metering measures, collects and stores real-time data for DC systems. Energy professionals use DC meters to monitor generation and consumption, identify system faults, verify performance and manage energy flows in applications such as solar off-grid systems, battery energy storage systems (BESS), EV charging, telecom towers and data centers.
Product overviewIVY Metering DC Energy Meters: four models cover different DC ranges — 40–400V (EM613001), 5–1000V (EM619001 & EM619002) and 8–48V (EM613005). The meters measure key DC parameters (voltage, current, power, energy) and record accumulated totals and historical logs. Communication is via RS485 supporting Modbus RTU and DLT645. EM series meters operate from a DC supply and accept flexible current inputs via DC shunts; EM619001/002 support bidirectional measurement. Typical applications include battery monitoring, PV off-grid systems and real-time EV charging supervision.
