Description

Overview
The Winner2008B is a laser particle size analyzer for wet dispersion using the Mie scattering principle. Measurement range: 0.01–1200 μm. The system employs dual-beam/dual-spectrum detection and side light-scatter measurement to deliver reliable, repeatable particle size analysis for industrial quality control, R&D and laboratory environments.

Key features
  • Measurement range: 0.01–1200 μm
  • Dual-beam and dual-spectrum detection system
  • Side light scatter technology for enhanced precision
  • Automatic and manual operation modes
  • One-click automated workflow: sample intake, bubble removal, dispersion, measurement, cleaning and data processing

Dispersion system
Integrated wet and dry dispersion with mechanical stirring, ultrasonic dispersion and circulation to avoid secondary sedimentation of large particles. Components: ultrasonic (40 kHz, 60 W, adjustable time), stirrer (0–3000 rpm adjustable), circulation pump (30 L/min, 70 W). Water level sensor prevents overflow. Sample tank: 10 mL.

Optical and detection
Converging-light Fourier transform optical path (Winner patent) with automatic optical-bench alignment (precision up to 0.2 μm). Detection via a log-spaced detector array covering test angles from 0.015° to 145°. Light sources: red semiconductor laser (λ = 639 nm, P > 3.0 mW) and optional green laser (λ = 405 nm, P > 2.0 mW). Effective focal length: 500 mm. Laser safety: Class 1.

Software & data
Software supports multiple analysis models (free distribution, R–R distribution, log-normal, statistical), multi-result comparison, intelligent processing to produce representative outputs, customizable metrics (any D1–D100, cumulative percentages) and graphical outputs (differential and cumulative distributions). Export formats: Word, Excel, BMP, TXT, PDF. Interface languages: Chinese and English; additional languages available. GMP option available.

Applications
  • Cement, ceramics
  • Pharmaceuticals, emulsions, dopes
  • Dyes, pigments, inks, photosensitive materials
  • Chemicals, catalysts, abrasives, lubricants
  • Metal and non-metal powders, calcium carbonate, kaolin
  • Food additives, pesticides, explosives
  • Fuel, graphite, drilling fluids, brazing materials
  • Other powders and slurries (e.g., water-coal slurry)

Advantages
  • One-button automated operation reduces operator intervention and error
  • Fully integrated wet and dry dispersion with coordinated control and shortened flow path to prevent secondary precipitation
  • Converging-light Fourier transform optical path improves submicron discrimination
  • Automatic optical alignment with precision hybrid stepping motor (micro-motion accuracy to 0.1 μm) ensures stable tests
  • Dual optical path and dual-laser orthogonal design extend range and sensitivity from submicron to millimeter-scale particles
  • Unconstrained free-fitting algorithm accurately represents particle distributions
