They are safety components according to DIN EN ISO 13849-2 (PL e) with CE declaration of conformity and designed with high safety factors for fatigue resistance and fault exclusion. In addition, HKDS safety double joint couplings can be used to implement fail-safe encoder attachments in hazardous areas. This makes them ideal for extreme operating conditions. The double-jointed couplings are available with different hub lengths and bore diameters as well as insulated couplings for attachments with shaft current hazard.
